Get the following message\ You don't have permission to access on this server.\ Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.\ \ kindly give any suggestions.\ \ hackey

Hi\ \ I did that and checked configurations as suggested in the forum which seems to be correct.\ I donot know if i had to change my host. But i am using cpanel.\ \ cannot figure it out. \ regards\ hackey

Use FTP program to see if the pages are generated or not and what permissions they got.

I registered on your site "mewsoft" and created the about me page, the direct access to the directory is not accessable:

http://www.everyship.com/ships/aboutme/mewsoft/

while accessing the about me index page is accessable:

http://www.everyship.com/ships/aboutme/mewsoft/index.html

May be  your server not configured for index.html as one of its default index pages, you can try to create any directory under your html directory and place any file name it index.html and try to access this directory from the web, if it did not pull the index.html then your server needs to be configured for this, ask your hosting.

No, this is not what I mean, create a subdirectory off yur html directory, say public_html/test, now place the index.html in this directory test, then try to access this directory online like this:

www.everyship.com/test

if it loads the index.html then your server can handel it, if not ask your hosting to add the index.html ot the directory index page.
