About Me Page |
|
Hello. I have read a couple of posts on this exact issue and am still having problems. I cannot view the "About Me" pages. I get an "You are Not Autorized to View this Page" error. I have the directory set to 777 and still cannot get in. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!\

Set the files permissions also and the sub directories under the about me directory. It may be your server settings does not all scripts to change permissions and if this is the case then switch servers. Is your servers FreeBSD or BSD?. |

Curiously, what's the difference between these 2 OS? I am trying to use my SUN 420R enterprise server running on Solaris 10, can anyone recommend a suitable control panel (like cPanel or Plesk) for me to run the classified and auction modules just pruchased? Thanks. |

It is not problem with the OS, it is problem with the server configuration. Anyway, cPanel is the most used control panel now them comes Plesk, both are easy user friendly, check our new hosting partner they are offering a good deal I think 3.5GB disk space which is good enough. |

Thanks for responding. I don't know if my server is BSD or FREEBSD. I will follow up with my hosted solution. I am still confused on how that would affect my ability to view the contents in that directory. I manually changed directory and the sub directories to 777 and it still doesn't work. |

The are definately in there. There is a folder for each user that is signed up on my auction site. They are all set to 777 and I still can't see them. Any other suggestions? Thanks.\

I had the same problem after an upgrade. My paths in configuration were wrong.\

about me icon in view item will not resolve to the about me index .html file |
|
when i go and veiw an item the user has a little icon that links to there about me page when it is clicked it resolves to an open directory page, that shows a file index.html and if you click on it it will display the about me page.\

Re: About Me Page |

Your server must have setting for the default page to include index.html. Contact your hosting for this, they should add index.html. The Geo database is separate packages, not included in the modules bundles, please see our order page. Thank you |
