Boardawy 3.00 Released Aug 2008 is totally new version rewritten, however previous versions users need to install the cgi file Upgrade3.cgi call it once from the browser then you can use the same database with the new version 3.00 without change to anything in the database.
Steps to upgrade to Version 3.0
1)-Do full backup to your website from your website control panel (cPanel, or Plesk, etc).
2)-Do Boardawy database backup, from the admin->database manager.
3)-Upload the file Upgrade3.cgi to your forum cgi file folder
4)-Call the file Upgrade3.cgi once from your browser.
5)-Now install boardawy 3.00 under different folder on your website, do not overwrite your working installation.
6)-In the new install in the admin->Configuration, all you need is to use the same mysql database that you used for your other older installation.
7)-Now your new version should show all your forums and users the same as your old install.
8)-You can start copying or redoing your customizations
9)-Please remember the new version has changes to all class names, so take care of this.
