Admin:
1- somewhere in the system, may be in the system statistics if we could have a user or viewer activity log such as the pages they viewed and IP addresses log can be useful. Of course we would also need a feature called "IP deny". Such features can be used against intruders and those trying to sabotage our sites by denying their access by "IP deny".
2- The Ads Manager page needs to be a bit simpler looking and some what more organized to save space and be able to attend to more ads in one page. For example no images (thumbnails) are necessary for the admin to be looking at, and if one must do so then one can look at the ad itself and the images in the ad. This page is meant for quick management of the ads and needs to be robust and as user friendly as possible since the site administrator can possibly face hundreds if not thousands of ads. I am not sure if having the check boxes and the bullet points are all that necessary, we could only use a simple link to "end", "delete" or "re-list". May be we could add a little box that would show the IP address of the lister in front of each ad.
3- I wish we had the capability to control how much information should be mandatory or optional at the time of registration. it looks like there are a lot of input boxes that have the asterisks denoting the mandatory nature of the input. If we could change these criteria and had control over activating each box at various times it would be a good feature. some times a site may need to get visitors just by a user name and a validated email address and nothing else. Is there away to implement such a capabilities?
Front end:
1- In the advanced search area the search criteria for location needs to switch to sub locations [i:a5ddfb47ca]automatically[/i:a5ddfb47ca] in at least 3 levels down from country. By this I mean once we click on a country it needs to switch to next level that would be "states", once that is chosen it should switch to next level down as in "counties" and finally after that is picked it should go into a final sub level as in "cities", this is especially useful in a classifieds web site as people are always looking for a particular thing in a particular location. additionally a search by zip code is a must in a classifieds platform.
