This is normal, this happens if you try to activate an already activated account. so do not click on the activation
link more than once. the first click activates it and the next clicks will show this error message.
You should be familiar with this since you are old customer.
I just double checked. May be your email has something to do with the links or whatever you are using.
try using another email system or broswer, maybe your browser is refreshing or has auto refresh, similr issues
happens with FireFox with speical settings.
