How to delete Language ? Edit Delete Reply with quote Quote

NetAuction installation has three languages:
-Arabic
-English
-German

Want to delete Arabic & German. So I went to:

Admin|Language Manager|Delete Language

However I am only seeing English in drop down list ( Not seeing Arabic & German)

Please assist ...

You get the software only with English language!. Click on the link Prepare all languages and it will search and list all languages you have, you should see only English if you have not created any.

O.K it worked after clicking "Prepare All Available Languages " it cleared other languages leaving only English as Default.

However when I try to create a new language -
Admin|Language Manager| Create New Language|New Language Name: Spanish

I get the following error:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

When I check server Error Logs , I see:

/cgi-bin/auction/data/language/Spanish
is created but it is empty and Netauction does not create New Language : Spanish

Does this have anything to do with permissions on  files and directories?

Permissions on cgi-bin & html are:
chmod -R 755 /cgi-bin/auction/*
chmod -R 755 /html/auctions/*

The program may be unable to copy files due to your server permissions on newely created files. The solution is you created the language directory manually, copy also the files manually from the English to your new Spanish language.

Yes it worked . Followed your instructions:

chmod -R 755 Spanish

then clicked "Prepare All Available Languages"

Saw it in Admin & Netauction "Set Your Default Language" as an Option
