New Pending Submissions

Here you will be able to manage all new submissions to your system from the internet users all over the world. The new submissions will be listed here only waiting for your manual approval if you set the option "Approve new submissions manually" to yes in the "General Options". If you did not set this options to yes all the new submissions will go directly to the system database without being waiting for manual review and approval.

Click on this link to manage all the new submissions for from your users. This will open a new page will a list of all categories that have new submissions waiting for approval. Click on the categories one by one at a time to open a list of the new submissions where you can review and edit or delete.

Figure (3) Shows the review and approval page of the new submissions. The admin sets an option for how many listings per page to review and approve or deny. For each site, to accept and add to the system database just click the Add link or the checkbox, to delete it simply check the delete checkbox.

You also can review the details of each site by clicking the Edit link of that site. The edit site form will allow you to modify all the site information, select a listings template for the site, set ranking for top ranking in categories listings and search results and much more.

Field	Meaning
Assigned ID	This is a unique ID integer number assigned by the program to each site or link. When reviewing the new submissions and before accepting these submissions to the system database, these ID's are temporarily assigned only and will be changed to a permanent ID's after approving and adding to the engine database. This will be automatically done by the program, so nothing to be done on your side.
Category	The category the listing or the link will belongs to in the engine database. Select the category from the drop down menu and the category guide bar.
Title	This is the site or link title. It can be any text. The maximum length of the title is set by the admin option "Maximum Title Size in Bytes" from the "Listing Options" admin menu. Try not to make it very long, between 40 and 80 is the normal use unless your application requires this. The maximum title length that can be set is 140 bytes.
URL	This is the full URL to the site that the user will be redirected to when clicks this link. The URL length that can be used is 140 bytes.
Description	This is the short (or long) description of the site. This can be any text or html code. HTML code will be accepted only from the user submissions or even spidered sites if this was enabled from the admin option "HTML Manipulation" in the "Listing Options" admin menu. The "HTML Manipulation" option has three ways to treat the HTML code in the description: Disable HTML Code This option will show the html code as a text only. For example will convert all < to < and all > to >. Allow Safe HTML Code This option will disable only the SSI, scripts, and other executables code that can be very dangerous if allowed, at the same time will show all the normal html code in the normal way. Remove HTML Code This is the best way for portals and search engine sites. This does not include any html code at all in the description. It will remove any HTML tags from the description before accepting from the users or the spiders. The html code will not even displayed for the admin to approve or not as it is removed totally. The maximum length of the description is set by the admin option "Maximum Description Size in Bytes" from the "Listing Options" admin menu. Try not to make the description too long as it will consume much disk space and in large database systems may slow down the search specially if you index the description which will be added to the keywords also. The maximum length should be set depending on your portal system requirements. Very large portals should set this may be in the range of 150-500 bytes. Small and medium engines could use any length. This field can be set to any integer value up to 65535 bytes.
Keywords	This is the keywords that will be indexed for search in addition to the title and description if enabled. Enabling the title, description, and keywords are from the admin options in the "Engine Control" menu. The maximum length should be set depending on your portal system requirements. Very large portals should set this may be in the range of 150-200 bytes. Small and medium engines could use any length. This field can be set to any integer value up to 65535 bytes.
Account	Each listing or site in the engine database must be owned by someone how has an account on the system. If no account is assigned the system will assign the email address as the account ID. This can be up to 50 bytes long.
Language	Multi lingual portals must enable the language field on the submissions form so the user can enter the language of his site information. This is the name of the language the site information is written in. For example if the details ( title, description, keywords) were written in English , then this filed must has the language name or the word "English" and so on for any language. This filed can be up to 50 bytes long.
Location	This may be used as an optional filed on the submission form to specify the physical location of this site. This filed can be up to 50 bytes long.
Template	This field sets the template that will be used to draw the listing when displaying the categories list or search results for the user of surfer. You can create unlimited number of templates and assign each listing a different template. Create or edit the listing templates from the admin menu "Listing Options".
Email	This is the email address of this site owner.
First Name	This is the first name of this site owner.
Last Name	This is the last name of this site owner.
Company	This is the company name of this site owner.
Job Title	This is the job title of the person who submit this site.
Street	This is the street address of this site owner.
City	This is the city of this site owner.
State	This is the state of this site owner.
Zip	This is the zip code of this site owner.
Country	This is the country of this site owner.
Phone	This is the phone of this site owner.
Fax	This is the fax of this site owner.
Website	This is the website address of this site owner or person who submit it.
URL1	This is a spare field that you can use for additional URL's or else. For example if you want a download link, a demo link, etc. This filed can be up to 120 bytes long.
URL2	This is a spare field that you can use for additional URL's or else. For example if you want to display an image with each link This filed can be up to 120 bytes long.
URL Image	This is a spare field that you can use for additional image or else. For example if you want to display image with each link or site then you can use this field for this. This filed can be up to 120 bytes long.
URL Icon	This is a spare field that you can use for additional icon or else. For example if you want to display icon with each link or site then you can use this field for this. This filed can be up to 120 bytes long.
Price	This is the user bid for ranking in the category listing position. Higher bids take the top positions. Listings will be sorted depending on their bids or prices per click or impression. This field normally is set by the listing owner from the account manager of this listings owner. It is always displayed as the first search term in the manage bids pages under "Category Position" search term. This field can be any decimal number between 0000000000.0000 and 9999999999.9999 Listings are sorted by first the Rank, Price, Score, and then Title.
Rank	This field is designed to allow the system admin to position certain sites or listings at the top of their category listings and search results and will override even the higher bids listings. This filed can be controlled only be the admin. Normally the purpose of this filed is to force specific links to appear at the top of their listings always whatever they have higher bids or not. The main use for this function may be for sponsors where you can sell the first few positions (5-10) with different fixed prices over a specific period of time. For example you can sell the first position for $100 per month, the 2nd position for $80 per month and so on. This field can be any decimal number between 000000000000000.00000 and 999999999999999.99999 Listings are sorted by first the Rank, Price, Score, and then Title.
Score	Each listings gains a score from different things, like the ratings, and voting system by the users, the number of clicks it has and son on. When sorting listings for display, higher score listings take higher positions. Listings are sorted by first the Rank, Price, Score, and then the Title.
E xtra1	This is an extra spare field that can be used for anything. This filed can be up to 50 bytes long.

Extra4	This is an extra spare field that can be used for anything. This filed can be up to 50 bytes long.

Extra6	This is an extra spare field that can be used for anything. This filed can be up to 80 bytes long.

Send Acceptance Letter	Select what acceptance letter will be sent to the listings owner or the person who submitted the link. You also can chose not to send a letter. You can create and edit unlimited number of acceptance and rejection letters which will be available to you in this drop down menu from the admin menu "Submit Options" under "Edit Acceptance Letters" and "Edit Rejection Letters" links.
